Overview

This page allows you to download 2 programs and a set of input test files (data).

The TDT/S-TDT program is written in Java, which was chosen for its portability and ease of maintenance. The file "setup.exe" contains the TDT/S-TDT program. To run the program, you must have the "Java Runtime Environment" (JRE) on your computer. We have provided the JRE program below.

After you download the programs and file of test data, you will need to install them as explained below.

JRE

Here is the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) setup file. We recommend that you save this file and the "setup.exe" to your desktop so you can find them easily.

After you download this you must install it by double-clicking on the icon. Don't change the path; if you do, the TDT/S-TDT program won't be able to find the JRE.

The Java TDT/S-TDT Program Version 1.1

Here is a zip of the actual program which you must download:

Extract the zipped archive by double-clicking on the file. If you don't have winzip or some other program that can unzip you can obtain the freeware from http://www.winzip.com. After the install is complete, run the program by double-clicking on the "TDT-STDT Program" shortcut, which is located in the directory you installed the program into.  Detailed instructions can be found in the User's Guide located under the Help menu.

Note: This version 1.1 was updated 2/24/99. Version 1.1 discards offspring whose affection status is unknown (0), but ignores affection status (0,1,2) of parents.

Test Data

Included in the program are a couple of sample files named "test1.dat" and "test2.dat".
